MOSCOW, MAY 25 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed the importance of reporting on the Ukrainian attack on a university in Starobelsk, in the Lugansk People's Republic /LPR/, in which 21 people were killed, and criticized Western media for not reporting on the crime objectively.

"The Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry and other agencies managed to organize such an important and necessary trip very quickly. A large number of journalists went there and saw the scale of the tragedy that occurred with their own eyes," Peskov told reporters.

He noted that many Western media outlets had decided not to go to Starobelsk.

"This does not do them any favors or contribute to the credibility of the information they produce. And, of course, it does not allow them to call themselves objective media outlets in reporting on what is happening around Ukraine," Peskov said.

He noted that no official statements have been issued from the West condemning Kiev for the tragedy.

"We have not seen any actions that could be perceived as condemnation of this barbaric terrorist attack on young people. That is all that can be stated in this context," Peskov concluded.
