PENG LIYUAN AND MELANIA TRUMP VISIT NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ASIAN ART

WASHINGTON, September 25 /SRNA/ – Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, visited the National Museum of Asian Art in Washington together with Melania Trump, wife of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The two first ladies visited the Peacock Room and other exhibition galleries.

Peng Liyuan expressed her appreciation to the U.S. for the return of Chinese cultural artifacts to China in recent years.

She expressed hope that China and the United States would continue to strengthen cultural exchanges and cooperation in the protection of cultural heritage in order to promote friendship between the two peoples.

Following the visit, Peng Liyuan and Melania Trump listened to American teenagers singing Chinese songs together and spoke with them.

Peng Liyuan encouraged everyone to continue learning the Chinese language and Chinese culture and to become ambassadors of China - the USA friendship.

The National Museum of Asian Art in the USA is renowned for its collection, research, and exhibitions of Asian art, the China Media Group reports.
