OIL PRICES SURGE

NEW YORK, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ - Oil prices rose on global markets today following reports of powerful explosions in the Saudi capital.

In London, North Sea Brent crude was up five per cent at $105.16 a barrel.

In New York, light crude rose 5.1 per cent to $92.75 a barrel.

Rising oil prices are fueling inflation globally, including in the United States.
