NO PEACE IN UKRAINE WITHOUT ADDRESSING ROOT CAUSES OF THE CONFLICT

ARKHANGELSK, AUGUST 13 /SRNA/ - Peace in Ukraine cannot be achieved without addressing the root causes of the conflict, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said.

Russia has repeatedly expressed its readiness to seek a negotiated solution to the Ukraine crisis based on the agreements reached by Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump at their summit in Alaska in August 2025.

That agreement also includes addressing what Moscow describes as the root causes of the conflict and threats to national security.
