NETANYAHU: FLYDUBAI COPILOT UNDERWENT ISLAMIST INDOCTRINATION

TEL AVIV, OCTOBER 1 /SRNA-Reuters/ - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the co-pilot who attempted to crash a passenger plane on a flight to Israel had been indoctrinated with Islamist radicalism, and a further investigation would determine whether he had any potential links to Tehran.

"We know that he underwent Islamist radical indoctrination," Netanyahu said in an interview with Fox News.

He added that within a few days he would be able to say whether the co-pilot had any links to Tehran.

A Flydubai aircraft flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv sent a distress signal yesterday and later made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.

The airline later confirmed that an incident occurred during the flight in which the pilot attacked the co-pilot with a knife in an attempt to take control of the aircraft carrying more than 100 passengers from Israel.
