NEBENZYA: WEST PREACHES HUMANISM WHILE TOLERATING TORTURE IN PRACTICE

MOSCOW, MAY 13 /SRNA/ – Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said the situation involving Serb detainees in international tribunals has taken on the character of a flagrant violation of human rights.

In a post on Telegram, Nebenzya reminded that Republika Srpska Army General Ratko Mladić remains in critical condition in a UN detention center despite humanitarian appeals for his transfer for medical treatment.

"At the same time, Radovan Karadžić is being subjected to psychological terror in a British prison with the tacit consent of the international Mechanism. These cases expose the hypocrisy of the West, which advocates humanism in words while tolerating torture in reality", Nebenzya stressed.

According to him, the Mechanism has long since turned into an atavism that must be eliminated immediately.
