NATO SEES NO IMMEDIATE THREAT OF RUSSIAN ATTACK

BRUSSELS, AUGUST 30 /SRNA-Reuters/ – Russia is intensifying its hybrid activities in Europe, but NATO currently sees no immediate threat of an attack, a NATO official said.

"As always, NATO remains vigilant and prepared for the various threats we face. At present, we do not see an immediate threat of an attack," the official said.

He added that the Alliance would continue to support Ukraine and, as he put it, work around the clock to protect its one billion people.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that his country and NATO must be prepared for various scenarios and that the possibility of a Russian provocation targeting any member of the Alliance could not be ruled out.

US Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe visited Moscow on Tuesday, where he held talks with his Russian intelligence counterparts.
