BUDAPEST, OCTOBER 17 /SRNA-Reuters/ - Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar will present next year's budget on Monday, October 19, his office announced today.
Analysts say next year's budget will be a test of the Hungarian prime minister's credibility as he seeks to reduce the deficit to below the targeted level of three percent.
"The Tisza-led government will devote more resources to those who have lost out over the years, as well as to families, businesses, pensioners, education and healthcare. Next year's budget will preserve funds and redirect money from billionaires and companies that pollute the environment to millions of others who have been neglected," Magyar said in a post on Facebook.
Magyar stressed that several billion euros recently released from EU funds would be used to kick-start investment in housing, transport and water supply infrastructure
