BEIJING, OCTOBER 19 /SRNA/ – China is ready to deepen cooperation with Tajikistan in the sectors of trade and investment, crucial minerals, transport connectivity, clean energy and artificial intelligence, Chinese Premier Li Qiang said.

During the talks held with Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda, Li stressed that China is ready to further align its development strategies with Tajikistan to ensure that both sides achieve concrete results.

The Chinese premier said that China would import more high-quality products from Tajikistan and encourage Chinese companies to invest and expand their business operations in the country.

He expressed hope that Tajikistan would continue to provide a favourable business environment for enterprises, China Media Group reported.

Li called for expanded exchanges in the fields of culture, education, healthcare, sports and local-level cooperation in order to improve the quality of life of citizens in both countries.

He also stressed the need to further strengthen cooperation in law enforcement and security to create a stable environment for mutual contacts.

Noting that the international situation is undergoing complex changes, Li noted that China and Tajikistan, as important members of the Global South, should strengthen coordination, safeguard their shared interests and uphold international fairness and justice.

Rasulzoda stated that, thanks to the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, Tajikistan - China relations are currently at the highest level in their history.

He recalled that Tajik President Emomali Rahmon paid a successful visit to China in May, following which bilateral relations entered a new phase of development.
