LE MONDE: FRENCH FOOTBALL FEDERATION TO WITHDRAW SUPPORT FOR INFANTINO

PARIS, SEPTEMBER 10 /SRNA-Reuters/ – The French Football Federation /FFF/ will withdraw its support for granting FIFA President Gianni Infantino another term in office, Le Monde reported, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter.

The Federation did not confirm the newspaper's report, stressing that an executive committee meeting on the issue had not yet concluded.

Infantino, who wants to secure another term as FIFA president, has faced criticism over a decision concerning the postponement of the suspension resulting from a red card issued to US footballer Folarin Balogun at this year's World Cup, as well as over a number of other decisions concerning the management of world football’s governing body.
