LAVROV: ALLIANCE WANTS TO ENSURE EURASIAN SECURITY ACCORDING TO ITS OWN RULE

SKAZAN, JUNE 10 /SRNA/ - NATO wants to ensure Eurasian security according to its own rules, in accordance with its understanding of the situation and under its own authority, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

At a press conference after a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Lavrov said that NATO is interested not only in its area of ​​responsibility, but also in the whole of Eurasia, TASS reported.

"When we talk about the need for all Eurasian countries to discuss together ways to build reliable, common and indivisible security, NATO - which usually covers a slightly different, Euro-Atlantic region and has always cared about the security of its members - has for years wanted to ensure precisely this Eurasian security in accordance with its own rules and its own understanding, under its own leadership," Lavrov said.
