KYIV SEEKS LOAN TO COVER PART OF BUDGET SHORTFALL

KYIV, AUGUST 30 /SRNA-Reuters/ - Ukraine wants to use part of an EU loan intended for next year to help cover this year's $27 billion budget deficit, Defense Minister Yevgeny Hmara stated.

Hmara said in comments carried by Ukrainian daily newspapers that Kyiv's wartime plan must be clear to Ukraine's partners as well as throughout the military chain of command.

He added that Ukraine had tested four potential interceptors designed to shoot down jet-powered drones that Russia has been increasingly launching.
