ROME, JULY 10 /SRNA/ – Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Rome will lead efforts to "reunite the European family with the Balkans."
In a post on X, Tajani said the Italian government will present to Brussels the "Rome Charter", previously signed by the "Friends of the Western Balkans group."
The document calls for "equal treatment of member states after accession, no additional requirements or conditions for accession, and the establishment of a common framework tailored to the circumstances of each candidate country."
Tajani added that the parties are working together to strengthen transport infrastructure, energy networks and digital connectivity, emphasizing that improving ties with the region is a political priority.
