TEL AVIV, MAY 16 /SRNA/ - The Israel Defense Forces /IDF/ confirmed that the head of Hamas’s military wing in the Gaza Strip, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, who was described as one of the main perpetrators of the October 7 massacre, has been killed.
“This is a significant operational achievement for the IDF, led by the Southern Command, IDF Intelligence, the Israeli Air Force, and members of ISA /Israel Security Agency/,” the statement said.
Al-Haddad took over the position after the killing of the previous Hamas leader, Muhammad Sinwar, and had recently been working on rebuilding the capabilities of the military wing and planning attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF personnel.
