BERLIN, OCTOBER 15 /SRNA/ - Alternative for Germany /AfD/ Member of the European Parliament Tomasz Froelich has criticized the EU for protecting the rights of all religious groups except Christians.
"The EU has a coordinator for combating antisemitism. It also has a coordinator for combating Islamophobia. However, there is no EU coordinator for combating hostility towards Christians," Froelich said in an address to Parliament published on X.
He pointed out that Christians are currently the religious community facing the greatest persecution and discrimination worldwide.
"Hate crimes targeting Christians are also on the rise in the EU. It is our duty to better protect our Christian brothers and sisters in faith in Europe," Froelich added.
