FORBES: TAYLOR SWIFT THE RICHEST MUSICIAN IN HISTORY

WASHINGTON, JUNE 5 /SRNA/ - Business magazine Forbes estimates that American pop star Taylor Swift has become the richest musician in history, with a fortune of two billion dollars.

This represents a 100 percent increase compared to 2024, which Swift /36/ achieved thanks to the record-breaking The Eras Tour.

Forbes described Swift as one of the most commercially successful songwriters of all time.

Forbes states that her tour was the most profitable in history with an income of 2.2 billion dollars. With that money, she bought back her original master recordings, according to the magazine.

At the beginning of her career, Swift signed a contract with the publishing house "Big Machine" and recorded her first six albums for it.

As usual, the rights belonged to the label, which sold them in 2019 for more than 300 million dollars to the holding company of former music manager Scooter Braun.

Swift changed the music industry in 2020 when she re-recorded most of her discography. As a result, fees started flowing directly into her pocket.
