FLIGHTS SUSPENDED AT CATANIA AIRPORT DUE TO ETNA ACTIVITY

ROME, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA-Reuters/ - Flights at Catania Airport in Italy were suspended again today due to ash from activity at Mount Etna, Italian authorities said.

According to the statement, all incoming flights to Italy's fifth-busiest airport have been suspended until 4:00 p.m. local time.

Mount Etna, the highest and most active volcano in Europe, frequently causes problems for air traffic around Catania, with volcanic ash posing the biggest problem this year.
