SOFIA, OCTOBER 6 /SRNA/ - Unidentified drones struck two commercial vessels in the Black Sea near Bulgaria, the maritime.bg website reported.
A rescue operation is underway about 80 nautical miles off the Bulgarian coast.
One of the vessels, the Togo-flagged Alfa Vatan, sustained extensive damage and sank, but there is no information on the crew so far.
A fire broke out aboard the second vessel, the Palau-flagged Able, and several members of its 18-person crew have been injured. All crew members were taken ashore aboard the Bulgarian ferry Diskuriya, TASS reported.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev will hold an emergency meeting today with officials from the Defense Ministry and Interior Ministry, as well as representatives of the special services and other relevant agencies and ministries.
