MOSCOW, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ – Europe needs Russian energy resources in order to survive, Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, said.
"Winter is coming. As predicted, the EU’s stubborn ideological mistakes in the energy sector are already having enormous consequences," Dmitriev posted on X, commenting on rising energy prices in Europe.
Due to the escalation of the Iran - USA conflict, shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has been virtually halted. The strait is a key supply route for the global markets for oil, petroleum products, and liquefied natural gas.
Accordingly, fuel prices have risen in most countries around the world, including in Europe, RIA Novosti reports.
