ĐERE WINS CHALLENGER TOURNAMENT IN OEIRAS

LISBON, MAY 16 /SRNA/ - Serbian tennis player Laslo Đere won the Challenger tournament in Portugal by defeating American Emilio Nava in the final in straight sets, 6–3, 6–4.

The match lasted 79 minutes.

This is the third Challenger title of his career.

On his way to the title, the player from Senta even had to play qualifying matches.

There, Laslo Đere defeated Monteiro and Carboni, and then in the main draw he beat Heide, Safiullin, Smith, Dellien, and Nava without losing a single set.

The Serbian ace won very important ranking points in his return toward the top of world tennis and will be ranked No. 238 in the world from Monday, May 18.

However, due to his drop in the rankings, Laslo Đere will not participate in the French Open this year.
