MOSCOW, MAY 9 /SRNA/ - Russian President Vladimir Putin and officials from foreign delegations, including the delegation of Republika Srpska, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Gardens in Moscow, paying tribute to the fallen Soviet soldiers in the battles of the Great Patriotic War.

The flowers were laid by members of the Republika Srpska delegation, President of the Republic Sinisa Karan, Speaker of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandić and President of the SNSD Milorad Dodik, as well as delegations from Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as participants in the special military operation of all branches and delegations of veterans' associations.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier yesterday.

A red granite monument, with a bronze statue of a Soviet soldier's helmet and flag, and the inscription, "Your name is unknown, your deed is immortal," stands behind the eternal flame in front of the Kremlin.

At the end of the ceremonial part of the Victory Day commemoration, Putin greeted officers of all Russian units that took part in the parade on Red Square.
