WASHINGTON, JULY 23 /SRNA/ – The U.S. House of Representatives narrowly passed its version of the National Defence Authorization Act /NDAA/ for fiscal 2027year, authorizing a record $1.15 trillion in military spending.
The NDAA includes several provisions allocating hundreds of millions of dollars for joint military projects between the United States and Israel.
The bill passed by a vote of 216 to 212, Reuters reported.
The measure was supported by most Republicans, while most Democrats voted against it.
Some Democrats sought to challenge a provision aimed at strengthening U.S.-Israel security cooperation, but their proposal failed to gain sufficient support.
