CHINA'S SUMMER ECONOMY BOOSTS GLOBAL GROWTH

BEIJING, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - Summer consumption in China is once again attracting global attention, from the growing number of foreign tourists in Chinese cities and the popularity of the "Travel China" trend on social media, to rising demand for Chinese cooling products, the China Media Group reported.

A survey by China Global Television Network /CGTN/ showed that 86.1 percent of internet users worldwide believe that China's summer economy not only boosts domestic consumption but also creates new opportunities for the global economy.

This year, China further expanded its visa-free policy, improved visa-free transit rules and enhanced tax refund services for foreign travellers.

As a result, travelling and shopping in China have become more convenient, with 74.1 percent of respondents saying they would like to visit the country this summer.

With China's continued opening-up, spontaneous travel to the country is becoming an increasingly realistic option for foreign tourists. This is boosting consumption in the hotel, hospitality, transport and retail sectors, while also allowing the world to gain first-hand experience of a genuine, diverse and open China.

As many as 89.5 percent of respondents believe that China, through its opening-up, is sharing the benefits of its development with the world, while 95.8 percent say that it is rapidly transforming from the "world's factory" into a "world market" that drives global consumption.

At the same time, air conditioners, fans, ice makers and sun protection products are in high demand in foreign markets this summer.

Orders for many products have surged, and in some places strong demand has even led to shortages. Flexible supply chains, improved product quality and the ability to quickly adapt to consumer needs are helping Chinese companies turn innovation into a new advantage in the global market.

According to the survey results, 80.1 percent of respondents believe that Chinese companies, relying on a complete industrial system and flexible supply chains, are quickly identifying climate trends and consumer needs and improving their offerings.

A total of 91.2 percent of respondents said that diverse applications and China's large market are accelerating the introduction of new technologies and products to the market and promoting the development of industries worldwide.

In addition, 88.2 percent of respondents believe that China's summer economy is bringing greater certainty and new momentum to global supply chains and the world economy.

The survey was published on CGTN platforms in English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian. A total of 4,524 internet users took part in the survey within 24 hours.
