BERLIN, SEPTEMBER 20 /SRNA/ – A burglar with an apparent sugar craving broke into a cafe in Germany but, instead of raiding the cash register, made off with a cake and two tubs of ice cream, local police said.
The break-in occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday at a cafe near a park in the town of Bad Salzuflen, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Investigators are searching for the suspect and say the motive remains unclear, DPA reported.
"We still do not know whether he deliberately targeted the sweet loot or simply got a little hungry during the burglary," a police spokesman said.
