GENEVA, AUGUST 13 /SRNA-Reuters/ - The Bulgarian city of Burgas has been selected to host the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in May next year, the contest organisers announced.
"Burgas on the Black Sea will welcome performers, delegations, fans, journalists and millions of viewers around the world for three spectacular live broadcasts on Tuesday, May 11, Thursday, May 13, and Saturday, May 15, 2027," the European Broadcasting Union said.
Bulgaria won this year`s Eurovision Song Contest, held in Vienna, represented by pop singer Dara /Darina Yotova/ with the song "Bangaranga."
She won by a convincing margin with a total of 516 points, giving Bulgaria its first victory in the history of the competition.
