YAOUNDE, AUGUST 20 /SRNA/ - Cameroonian President Paul Biya has returned to the country after spending more than two months abroad, raising concerns about the health of the 93-year-old leader and the possible power vacuum in the country, AP reported.
Biya arrived at the international airport in the capital Yaoundé on a flight from Geneva, Switzerland, after spending more than 10 weeks outside the country.
He left the country on June 7 for what his office described as a "short private stay in Europe", but his absence turned into the longest recorded period away from the country during his office.
The world's oldest president, who has ruled Cameroon since 1982, began his eighth term in November after winning the October election.
