BELARUS CHECKS COMBAT READINESS OF ENTIRE ARMY

MINSK, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Belarus plans to check the combat readiness of the entire army, even possibly including mobilization, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

"I have already said...the army needs to be shaken up, the time has come. The whole army. We will check everyone. Even possibly including mobilization," Lukashenko said, as quoted by the BelTA news agency.

He said that an artillery brigade is currently being checked on his instructions, and tank and motorized rifle units were checked before that.

"We are doing everything as it will be in the war," Lukashenko added.
