Eve-Marie Saint was born in 1924 in Newark, New Jersey, and began her television and film career in the 1940s.
She won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1955 for her role in director Elia Kazan's 1954 film "On the Waterfront," in which she starred alongside Marlon Brando.
