BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 13 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić announces the Government will sponsor the Balkan Karate Championship for seniors and veterans, organised by the Srpska Karate Federation, whose thirty years of work he praised and announced support for its operations in order to create the best possible conditions for competitors.
Minić emphasized that the Balkan Karate Championship will contribute to the affirmation and amassing sports in Republika Srpska, whose organisation the Government will support to ensure the event is held at the top level and that Banja Luka and Republika Srpska are presented in the best possible light.
He says he is proud that Republika Srpska has been given the honour of hosting the Balkan Karate Championship, announced the Government’s Public Relations Bureau.
Minić praised the work of the Karate Federation, which for more than 30 years has achieved good results, bringing together athletes who represent Republika Srpska across the globe in the best possible way.
The Head of the Republika Srpska Karate Federation, Dragiša Jovanović, informed Minić about the organisation of the competition and highlighted that Banja Luka will be at the centre of regional attention, with around 1,000 athletes and delegation members from 13 Balkan countries expected to visit Republika Srpska.
He thanked the prime minister for the reception and support and invited citizens of Republika Srpska to attend the competition.
The Balkan Karate Championship for seniors and veterans will be held between February 27 and March 1 at the Borik sports hall in Banja Luka.
