SRBAC NATIVE NEMANJA VUČENOVIĆ SIGNS WITH BORAC

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 8 /SRNA/ - Nineteen-year-old basketball player from Srbac Nemanja Vučenović has signed a professional contract with Banja Luka-based Borac Basketball Club and will be part of the first team next season.

Vučenović took his first basketball steps in the youth system of Akademac Basketball Club from Srbac, after which he moved to Borac, where his hard work and performances earned him a place among the senior players.

This is another in a series of significant achievements for Vučenović. His talent and results to date have also been recognized in his hometown of Srbac, where he was named the municipality’s best athlete for 2023.

Vučenović told SRNA that the multi-year contract with Borac means a great deal to him, as it represents a reward for his achievements to date, training, sacrifices and all the effort he has invested over the years he has spent playing basketball.

"I play at the small forward and power forward positions, but primarily at small forward. This season, I will try to improve even further, make the most of every minute and every opportunity, and gain additional experience through training and competing in the BiH Premier League and the ABA 2 League," Vučenović said.

As for his plans for the future, he highlighted continued progress, good performances and making as great a contribution as possible to Borac in the coming period as his main goals.

In addition to Vučenović, Nikola Salić, Marko Tomić, Matija Vuković and Kolja Matarugić have also signed professional contracts.

At Borac, they emphasize that young players who have earned the opportunity to prove themselves at the senior level through their work, commitment and performances will be given significant playing time in the new season.
