CHANGCHUN, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ - The medals and torch for the 2027 Changchun Winter Universiade were unveiled at an event held to mark 100 days until the start of the Games.

The torch, named "Ji Xiang", meaning "auspicious flight," was inspired by the clivia, the flower that symbolizes the city of Changchun.

Its upper section features a film-strip motif and 12 winter sports icons representing the disciplines at the Games, an allusion to Changchun’s film industry.

Snowflake and ginseng flower motifs appear near the top of the torch, while skiing-inspired lines run down its sides. A pattern reminiscent of the central part of a wheel adorns the base.

The torch is 711 millimeters tall, symbolizing the highest point in the urban area of Changchun, which is located at an altitude of 711 meters.

The medals, named "Ji Meng", meaning "auspicious dream", combine elements of traditional Chinese culture, winter sports motifs, and features associated with Changchun.

At the event held at the Changchun International Aviation Exhibition Center, uniforms and equipment were also unveiled, in addition to the medals and torch, the China Media Group reported.
