GOLD FOR MARKO JORGIĆ AT MEDITERRANEAN GAMES

BELGRADE, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - Serbian judoka Marko Jorgić won the gold medal in the up to 66kg category at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto today, and Andrea Stojadinov took bronze in the up to 52kg category.

Jorgić defeated Cyprus’ Petros Christodoulides in the final.

Stojadinov defeated France’s Paoline Cuk in the bronze-medal bout, scoring a yuko.

Serbia continued to add to its medal tally at the Mediterranean Games.

It currently has 20 medals: three gold, five silver and 12 bronze.
