FIVE-YEAR-OLD NIKOLAJ RADOJČIĆ INVITED TO RAFA NADAL ACADEMY

SRBAC, JULY 2 /SRNA/ – Five-year-old Nikolaj Radojčić from Celje, Slovenia, whose mother Dijana is originally from Srbac, has been invited to attend a training camp at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca after his talent was recognised on the recommendation of his coach.

Nikolaj has been a member of a tennis club in Celje for the past year. He is left-handed, and his biggest sporting idol is Rafael Nadal.

According to his mother, Dijana Radojčić, who is originally from the village of Kaoci near Srbac, a coach working in Slovenia who is also involved in training young players at the Rafa Nadal Academy showed videos of Nikolaj's play to coaches in Mallorca, after which the boy received an official invitation to attend a seven-day training camp.

"This means a great deal to us. Nikolaj loves tennis, and Nadal is his greatest role model. We are overjoyed that his hard work has been recognised and that he will have the opportunity to learn from the best. We still don't know whether we will travel this year or next, but we know that coaches will be waiting for him there, and we also hope he will have the chance to meet Nadal. For a five-year-old, that would be an unforgettable experience," Radojčić told SRNA.

The Radojčić family has lived in Celje for the past two decades. Besides Nikolaj, their older daughter Anja has also achieved remarkable success. Having just completed the eighth grade, she is the reigning Slovenian national champion in mathematics.
