ĐOKOVIĆ BEATS ZVEREV TO REACH TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS

BEIJING, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ - The world's best tennis player, Novak Đoković, defeated Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals of the tournament in China today to reach the semifinals, setting another record.

The Serbian tennis player beat Zverev 2-1, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Đoković now holds the record for the longest unbeaten run at a tournament, with 32 consecutive wins in Beijing, surpassing Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who had held the record with 31 consecutive victories at the French Open.

Zverev made a strong start and won the first set, but it wasn't enough to overcome the greatest tennis player of all time.

Đoković will face Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev in the next round.
