CVIJANOVIĆ: BANJA LUKA AND SRPSKA PROUD OF BORAC

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 7 /SRNA/ – Banja Luka and Republika Srpska are proud of Borac, Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović cited in a congratulatory note to Handball Club Borac on the 50th anniversary of winning the European Champions Cup and the 35th anniversary of winning the EHF Cup.

Cvijanović said that the achievements of Handball Club Borac are not only sporting triumphs, but also proof that even small nations, through great individuals, can leave an indelible mark on European history.

“My sincere congratulations on the 50th anniversary of winning the European Champions Cup and the 35th anniversary of winning the EHF Cup. May the name of Borac continue to stand as a symbol of Banja Luka, victory and pride,” Cvijanović posted on Instagram.

Cvijanović attended a ceremony organised by Handball Club Borac at Banski Dvor to mark the two greatest achievements in the club’s history – the 50th anniversary of its 1976 European championship title and the 35th anniversary of its 1991 EHF Cup triumph.
