BASKETBALL CLUB JAHORINA WILL HOST TFT FROM SKOPLJE TOMORROW

PALE, MARCH 4 /SRNA/ - The Jahorina Basketball Club from Pale will host the team TFT from North Macedonia tomorrow in a regional round of the ABA 2 League.

Jahorina’s coach, Vaso Milović, said that this is the final round of the regional part of the ABA 2 League and that the match means a lot to them.

He stated that TFT is a very demanding and high-quality opponent and one of the best teams in the Macedonian championship. “They are among the top teams in the ABA 2 League. They are certainly coming with their own ambitions,” Milović said.

He added that during the break, the players recovered from injuries and worked on team coordination, especially after the arrival of a new player.

Milović called on fans to come in as large numbers as possible tomorrow, saying that their support means a lot to the team, as it has so far.

The president of Jahorina Basketball Club, Nedeljko Elek, said it is very important that as many citizens as possible attend the match, noting that the club has had an extremely successful season, as it is playing in the ABA 2 League for the first time and has the opportunity to qualify among the top eight teams.

Regarding the Premier League of BiH, Elek said that the club is third in the standings and that he is satisfied with the results.

He emphasized that Pale is the capital of Republika Srpska, but also a city of sport, adding that few cities can boast of having their own Olympians, a serious basketball club, judokas, and numerous successful athletes.

“All of them are connected by the Olympic Center Jahorina, which is the general sponsor of the Pale Basketball Club and most sports clubs from this municipality,” Elek said at a press conference ahead of the match.

He emphasized that Jahorina, as long as he remains in his position, will continue to support sport, regardless of criticism, because the role of a public enterprise is to support sports and young people.

Player Stefan Peno expects a physically demanding game, as TFT is a strong team that relies on individual quality and has high-level players.

“The focus is on us. In the past period, we have worked on ourselves and prepared. The key will be good one-on-one defense, to stop their best players and to respond to them physically,” Peno said.

The match between Jahorina and TFT will be played in the Peki hall in Pale, starting at 18:00.
