SOKOLAC, JUNE 14 /SRNA/ – The Romanija Calls Six cycling event gathered around 150 participants today in Sokolac from all parts of Republika Srpska, BiH, Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia, who will enjoy a ride along approximately 50 kilometers long route.
The head of the Romanija Cycling civic association Bane Biljić said that a demanding but very interesting route had been prepared for all participants.
“We have also prepared a shorter route for our youngest participants, as well as lunch after the marathon is completed,” Biljić told the press before the ride’s start.
Acting Director of the Sokolac Tourism Organisation Bojana Marković said that the organisation had once again supported the cycling event this year, together with the Istočno Sarajevo City Tourism Organisation.
“Today we will award a mountain bike to one of the members of our club. We will also give away a weekend stay for two people in a cottage on Mount Romanija and a children's cycling helmet in order to promote safe riding,” Marković said.
Cyclist Vesna Petrović from Belgrade pointed out that she and her friends participate in the Romanija Calls cycling event every year, adding that she always enjoys returning to Romanija.
The organiser of the Romanija Calls Six cycling ride is the Romanija Cycling Society.
