ŽUPLJANIN: THE MORE ACTS LIKE THE BURNING OF SRPSKA FLAG, THE LESS BiH THERE IS

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 26 /SRNA/ - Slobodan Župljanin, president of the Organization of Senior Officers of the Republika Srpska Army /RSA/, says that the removal from a flagpole and burning of the Republika Srpska flag placed along the inter-entity boundary line is proof that Bosniaks themselves are contributing to the dismantling of BiH, a country they swear by.

"The more such acts there are, the less BiH there is. It is obvious that there is excessive fear due to the lack of previous Western support," Župljanin told SRNA.

He stated that burning the flag of Republika Srpska constitutes a criminal offence of inciting religious and ethnic hatred, as well as other punishable acts for which, as in previous cases, no one will likely be prosecuted, even though such actions can lead to inter-ethnic incidents that benefit no one in BiH.

"While flags of BiH are flown in Republika Srpska, and even wartime flags of the so-called Army of BiH are carried around, flags of Republika Srpska are desecrated and destroyed even when they are not on the territory of the Federation of BiH /FBiH/," Župljanin said.

He said this is yet another of many examples of hatred coming from the FBiH toward everything related to Republika Srpska and the Serb people.

Župljanin stated that the flag of Republika Srpska was burned by hooligans who likely have indirect support from political elites and authorities in the FBiH, who have not reacted even to direct calls for murder.

"That is the kind of democratic BiH that understands democracy as majority domination. This is conduct that has become practice, and for which no one is held accountable," Župljanin said.

He stressed that this is yet another reason for Republika Srpska to urgently adopt a regulation banning the wartime flag of the so-called Army of BiH from being used in Republika Srpska.

A video has appeared on social media showing a group of hooligans removing the flag of Republika Srpska from a flagpole and then burning it, while chanting "Allahu Akbar" and uttering insults.

Media outlets in the Federation report that the flag was located on a flagpole placed along the inter-entity boundary line between Republika Srpska and the FBiH.
