ZELJKOVIĆ: PUTIN'S SUPPORT FOR SOVEREIGNIST POLICY, DIALOGUE AND AGREEMENT OF ELECTED LOCAL OFFICIALS, REJECTED FOREIGN INTERVENTIONISM

BANJA LUKA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - The Russian Federation and its president Vladimir Putin are friends of Republika Srpska and the Serb people, as well as BiH and FBiH, as they only want stability in this area, which is confirmed by the statements of not only the Russian president, but also all the officials of that country, said SNSD councilor in the Banja Luka Assembly Bogoljub Zeljković.

"You could never hear any message from President Putin that goes beyond the scope of the Dayton Peace Agreement. It all boils down to support for the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Dayton-based BiH with two equal entities and three constituent peoples.

Republika Srpska demands the same from all partners - support for the Dayton-based BiH and local democratically elected representatives to jointly agree on the best solutions for Srpska, the Federation, BiH and the three constituent peoples," Zeljković emphasized for SRNA, commenting on the federal media's attempts to disparage the visit of Republika Srpska delegation headed by President Milorad Dodik to Moscow.

Instead of dealing with those slum stories about who and how President Putin welcomed, says Zeljković, it would be wiser to listen to at least one message from Vladimir Putin, and one of the many is that he fully understands what political leaders who lead contemporary politics and defend the interests of their people are facing.

"The visit of our delegation to Moscow and attending the magnificent Victory Parade is of great importance for Republika Srpska. This is a fact that the federal media cannot hide. Your efforts are in vain. Republika Srpska, and thus BiH, received unconditional support for the dialogue of local legitimately elected officials and solutions that will be the result of discussions, not imposition. Everything that created chaos in BiH was rejected, I can freely say the biggest one since the Dayton, as well as foreign interference, the protectorate and colonialism," emphasized Zeljković.

He expressed his belief that the FBiH people want the same thing as the people in Srpska - to finally live normally like all other peoples in normal countries and to have those who they elected in the elections to decide on their behalf, not some Schmidts, foreign ambassadors and ministers.

"Anyhow, the visit of the Serb delegation to Moscow is of great importance, because President Dodik had another opportunity to present the Republika Srpska views on various issues, but also to agree on the improvement of existing cooperation in various fields, from economy to culture," said Zeljković.

Although official Sarajevo and the local media try to belittle all that, mostly to criminalize the government in Republika Srpska so that those who have no democratic capacity or importance in Srpska, with whom they can do as they please, would come to the fore, Zeljković pointed out, the Serb people understands and sees everything.

"The people of Srpska followed the visit of their officials to Moscow with special attention and understand what the meetings and activities of legitimate representatives of Srpska with Russian officials mean, but they also follow who was in Sarajevo on May 9, the Victory Day, signing the treacherous so-called platform. Everyone sees everything and knows very well who and how they represent them. And those who do not see, will have the opportunity to see in the elections next year," Zeljković concluded.
