ŽELJKO BUDIMIR TAKES OVER AS MINISTER

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 12 /SRNA/ - Newly appointed Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir today formally took over duties from outgoing minister Siniša Karan.

Budimir emphasized that his priority will be the improvement of the Ministry's material and technical resources, the Ministry of Interior /MUP/ of Republika Srpska announced.

"This will be my special focus," Budimir stressed.

He noted that within the first 100 days of the new government, he will seek to implement planned activities with a new dynamic of MUP's work, which also entails improving the Ministry's organization.

"We will continue to work, particularly on strengthening international cooperation," Budimir added.

Karan congratulated the new minister on his appointment and wished him success in his work.
