"BANJA LUKA, October 21 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik stated that he is proud of the project "With Love to Brave Hearts," which has motivated institutions and individuals to donate funds for the opening of the HLA Tissue Typing Laboratory in Banja Luka.

Dodik emphasized that this year's "With Love to Brave Hearts" event will be even stronger, taking into account the overall economic and social circumstances.

"This laboratory is located within the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of Republika Srpska, and I was told that it meets the highest standards of health technology, both regionally and globally. The laboratory will be certified for international cooperation, which is very important," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka after the opening of the HLA Tissue Typing Laboratory.

He noted that, in addition to the laboratory itself, Republika Srpska has also gained qualified experts who will be able to perform their work professionally and efficiently.

The Director of the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of Republika Srpska Strahinja Jurišić said that the transfusion service in Srpska is a leader in the region and in Europe.

"We are the only ones who have no issues with blood shortages, and that is the result of our well-organized system and voluntary blood donors," Jurišić stated.

He added that the newly opened laboratory in Banja Luka is the first modern, fully equipped facility of its kind and will serve all citizens.
