WINE FESTIVAL OPENS, FEATURING 14 EXHIBITORS

MRKONJIĆ GRAD, JUNE 14 /SRNA/ – A wine festival opened this evening in Mrkonjić Grad, bringing together 14 exhibitors from Republika Srpska, BiH, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro.

Ognjen Vučenović, who co-organised the festival together with the Petar Kočić Cultural Centre, emphasized that the event attracts a growing number of exhibitors and visitors each year, noting that two cheese producers are also taking part this year.

Mayor Dragan Vođević recalled that the Mrkonjić Grad area was known for its vineyards about a century ago and expressed hope that the event would encourage someone to help return the municipality to the wine map.

Vođević thanked the exhibitors who came from other towns and cities to present their products, as well as the organisers for their efforts in ensuring the successful staging of the event.

“Mrkonjić Grad certainly appreciates quality alcoholic beverages, including wine. I hope this event will continue to thrive here for many years to come,” Vođević said.

The festival is sponsored by Mrkonjić Grad Municipality.
