BANJA LUKA, APRIL 5 /SRNA/ - Summarizing the Republika Srpska economic indicators, Republika Srpska Prime Minister Radovan Višković said that GDP per capita at the end of 2018 was BAM 9,304, while in 2023 it reached BAM 14,429, which speaks volumes about the progress here.

Višković also said that GDP per capita is expected to exceed BAM 15,300 in 2024, an increase of more than 65 percent.

"The cumulative inflation rate during this period is 24 percent. Exports have also increased and now amount to more than BAM five billion. The exports-imports ratio has never been below 69 percent," said Višković, adding that the volume of foreign trade has significantly increased.

He also said that the share of foreign direct investments in GDP reached 6.7 percent in 2023.

"The average number of employed people has increased from 266,000 to 289,000, which is a 10 percent rise," said Višković.

He says the net salary has also increased, reaching BAM 1,404 by the end of 2024, a 64 percent increase.

He added that the average pension has increased from BAM 361 to BAM 593.

"Meanwhile, the public debt has been reduced and now stands at 34.2 percent of GDP. The total debt of Republika Srpska has also been decreased," said Višković at today's thematic session of the Republika Srpska Government regarding the current political, economic, and security situation in Republika Srpska.
