BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 24 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Finance Minister Zora Vidović says that grant funds amounting to EUR 16.7 million for the implementation of the Water Supply and Sewerage Republika Srpska Two project will be allocated to 15 local communities in accordance with the value of their projects.
“I hope there will be more projects like this so that we can provide citizens with a good quality of life, as well as favourable conditions for doing business,” Vidović told the press in Banja Luka after signing, together with Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić, a subsidiary agreement for the implementation of the Grant Agreement between BiH and the European Investment Bank for the Water Supply and Sewerage Republika Srpska Two project.
She said that the advantage of this loan is that it is favourable, but also that it provides basic living conditions for citizens in the local communities that applied for the project.
The Water Supply and Sewerage Republika Srpska Two project comprises 29 investments in 15 local communities and concerns the improvement of water supply and sewerage infrastructure and stormwater management systems.
The projects are being implemented in the local communities of Doboj, Gradiška, Laktaši, Prijedor, Prnjavor, Teslić, Trebinje, Vukosavlje, Rogatica, Nevesinje, Istočna Ilidža, Novi Grad, Milići, Čelinac and Zvornik.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić and representatives of the local communities covered by the project.
