VERY SUCCESSFUL VISIT OF THE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA DELEGATION TO THE UNITED STATES

BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 6 /SRNA/ - The visit of the Republika Srpska delegation to the United States, along with numerous meetings with US officials, was very successful and demonstrated the strong political skill of SNSD leader Milorad Dodik and his closest associates, Professor Dragana Mitrović from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade told SRNA.

Mitrović stated that the visit showed that Republika Srpska's strategic choice and the tactics it selected are very effective and successful.

She said that Dodik and the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović certainly had the opportunity to present what she described as the real situation, including pressure on democratic processes in Republika Srpska, as well as threats to the interests of the Serb people.

Mitrović noted that the Republika Srpska delegation also had the opportunity to point out pressure on Christian identity, which she said is an issue to which the US administration is sensitive.

She added that meetings between Dodik and Cvijanović with numerous American officials confirmed strong political ties and their ability to establish and maintain such relations.

"This can certainly benefit Republika Srpska and help achieve its plans and the interests of the Serb people and other peoples living in Republika Srpska," said Mitrović, who is a full professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade and a leading expert on the economy, politics, international relations, and security of modern China and East Asia.

The Republika Srpska delegation, which includes the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, and acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trišić-Babić, is on a multi-day visit to the United States, where they attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington and met with numerous US officials.
