BANJA LUKA, APRIL 7 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that the visit of US Vice President James David Vance to Hungary and Donald Trump Jr. to Banja Luka signals an important shift in US administration policy, including increased attention to this part of Europe, the status of Christians, as well as the development of partnership relations with host countries.
Dodik welcomed Vice President Vance's official bilateral visit to Hungary, assessing that it signals strong support for the Hungarian Government led by Viktor Orbán, reflects alliance ties, and underscores a shared vision of national security and the sovereignty of nation-states.
According to him, Prime Minister Orbán deserves such a gesture as confirmation of his leadership and the respect he enjoys from some of the world's most important countries.
"The arrival of Vance in Hungary and Donald Trump Jr. in Banja Luka is a signal of an important shift in the US administration under President Trump, showing concern for this part of Europe regarding the status of Christians, and above all, the establishment of partnership relations with hosts," Dodik posted on X.
He noted that this is the first visit of a US vice president to Hungary in the past 35 years.
"We congratulate Prime Minister Orbán," Dodik stressed.
