BEOGRAD, APRIL 8 /SRNA/ – The visit of Donald Trump Jr. to Banja luka is a strong message to Republika Srpska, but also to Sarajevo, given that he arrived directly at the Banja luka airport, Republika Srpska Minister of Justice Goran Selak said.
Selak said that Donald Trump Jr. came directly to Banja Luka and did not travel via Sarajevo.
"That is also a message to Sarajevo. Come on, people, come to your senses, do not attack the institutions of Republika Srpska, let us live together, let our people stay, let citizens return, and let us develop the economy and our relations," Selak said in Belgrade.
He stressed that Republika Srpska should not be humiliated through so-called political processes, adding that Srpska is gaining more friends every day, as is Serbia.
He added that Republika Srpska is anchored in its mother country Serbia, but is also seeking to expand partnerships and strengthen its visibility in the United States and the Russian Federation, as well as with all who treat it responsibly.
"Republika Srpska is a reality. We are an integral part of BiH, we respect the constitutional order, but we do not respect what political Sarajevo is doing to us," Selak said.
He noted that Republika Srpska seeks progress, development of economic activity, and the creation of the most favorable environment for investment.
"Everyone who has good intentions toward Republika Srpska is welcome," Selak said.
Commenting on Trump Jr.'s statement that democracy is often used as a weapon to create problems, Selak reminded that certain external factors attempt to challenge the most influential figures in Republika Srpska and Serbia and to create unrest.
"Serbia and Republika Srpska will continue to cooperate and coordinate on how to move forward," Selak concluded.
