BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 17 /SRNA/ - The price of a liter of diesel in Republika Srpska could reach BAM 4 in the next 10 to 15 days, Dragan Trišić, a member of the Chamber of Commerce’s Group for Trade in Oil and Petroleum Products, told SRNA.
Trišić explained that this could happen as a result of the global crisis and disruptions on the world market.
"Purchase prices will probably also rise next week, which will lead to higher fuel prices. This is due to the increase in the price of oil on the world market to USD 108 per barrel and the diesel quotation of around USD 1,570 per tonne," Trišić said.
He added that there are currently no difficulties when it comes to the supply of oil and petroleum products.
All distributors in Republika Srpska, he said, have sufficient reserves, supply routes are currently uninterrupted, and there is no information at present that this could change.
Trišić stressed that markets will face supply problems if global disruptions and the geopolitical crisis continue through the end of the year.
"Smaller companies that do not have direct access to the most critical supply points could therefore face major problems," Trišić said.
