DONJA GRADINA, APRIL 19 /SRNA/ - Acting Director of the Office for International Cooperation Ana Trišić Babić, stated that this year, for the first time, the suffering in Jasenovac is receiving broader international attention.
"The truth about the suffering of Serbs, Jews, and others must be visible and acknowledged worldwide, because only the truth can be the foundation of justice," Trišić Babić wrote on X.
According to her, it is our duty to remember, to bear witness, and to recognize and point out dangers in a timely manner.
"While commemorating the suffering in Jasenovac, we remember with deep respect the Serbian, Jewish, and all other innocent victims who perished in that unprecedented crime," Trišić Babić emphasized.
At the Donja Gradina Memorial Area near Kozarska Dubica, the Day of Remembrance for the victims of the crime of genocide committed by the Ustasha in the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/ within the Jasenovac camp system was marked today.
