TADIĆ: CVIJANOVIĆ HAS STRENGTHENED SRPSKA'S VOICE ABROAD

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – The Serb member of the BIh Presidency Željka Cvijanović has raised the level of diplomatic activity so high that Denis Bećirović, Elmedin Konaković and Zlatko Lagumdžija are unlikely to match it, while particularly significant results have been achieved in a new chapter in relations between the United States and Republika Srpska, lawyer Ognjen Tadić said in a statement to SRNA.

"Thanks to that kind of engagement, Republika Srpska now has significantly more room and opportunity to present itself in international circles in an authentic, responsible and positive way, and for its interests and positions to be heard and understood more clearly," Tadić said.

According to Tadić, the extent to which those results have been noticed in political circles in Sarajevo is best reflected in the reactions they have generated.

"It is increasingly evident that they are disappointed with their own diplomatic performance and with their inability to reach the level of activity that Cvijanović has set," Tadić said.

He added that Cvijanović was among those most responsible for the recovery and normalization of relations between the United States and Republika Srpska.

Cvijanović attended a reception in New York hosted by US President Donald Trump for heads of state and government taking part in the session of the United Nations General Assembly.

It was the first time since 2014 that, in addition to the chair of the BiH Presidency, another member of the Presidency attended a reception hosted by the US president.

Ahead of the reception, Cvijanović met with Susie Wiles, White House chief of staff to U.S. President Donald Trump.
